THE ASK

Create a VIP Mailer to engage fans of Selena Gomez, Rare Beauty, and “Only Murders”to gain excitement for the latest season in order to generate buzz and viewings around the show, engagement on the platform, and brand love by partnering with the viral beauty line.

Concepting

The main design challenge here was creating a VIP branded experience that would satisfy both OMITB and Rare Beauty, two starkly different brands. My process began with ideating the box mechanism and researching both brand identities.

RECEIVING THE VIP MAILER

Receiving the mailer should feel like a fun, exciting, elevated experience. The box should exude quality and branding should be clear. 

The box opening should feel unexpected and immersive. We are taking fans into The Arconia itself which is an elegant structure.

OPENING THE BOX

UNBOXING PRODUCT

Unboxing the products should feel exciting for fans and full circle as the connection between OMITB and Rare Beauty settles further, creating a tie between these two loved brands. 

RETROSPECTIVE

This project was all about doing justice to a beloved show while creating a standout piece for a beauty brand collaboration. I worked closely with the show's evolving art direction, adapting my designs in step with the development of the key art. Key visual elements from the new season—like the movie reel and the Arconia archway—played a major role in shaping the final mailer, helping to create a cohesive and memorable experience.
