Pacific Wave Magazine
Publication Design + Branding
Quarterly magazine produced for University of Washington campus
GOALS
Provide info to students at UW about events, news and stories happening on campus
CONCEPT OVERVIEW
Pacific Wave is the University of Washington’s student run magazine that acts as a supplement to the weekly newspaper, The Daily. As design editor and art director, I worked with a team of writers and other editors to create a theme and unique aesthetic for each magazine.

THE PACIFIC WAVE IDENTITY
I began working on the magazine when the series was originally conceived, allowing me to create a new brand identity. My goal was to create an exciting and amiable identity in hopes of having people around campus pick it up and become familiar with the visual style appearing each quarter.

The name "Pacific Wave" came from the idea of . creating a large impact, or wave, throughout the University of Washington community.
THE PACIFIC WAVE TEAM
Pacific Wave is a large scale publication that requires many components to come together. Much of my time was spent coordinating between various editors, photographers, illustrators, and writers. I truly enjoyed the opportunity I had to work with such a dedicated and talented team.
