GOALS

Transform the listening process into something new by emphasizing the connection between audio and visual arts.

CONCEPT OVERVIEW

Vizia is a music streaming platform that provides a multidimensional listening experience by pairing animated abstractions with songs. By focusing on mood rather than artists or albums, the app offers a new entry point for music choices.

HOW IT WORKS 

Vizia prompts users to choose a mood, and offers suggestions based on their selection. From there, the desktop app displays an animation in full screen mode. The style of animation changes based on the tempo of each song in the playlist.

USE CASES

Vizia is a tool that aids in creating ambiance. For example, users may leave the animations to play on a bed while talking to friends, or connect the desktop app to a TV during a dinner party.

RETROSPECTIVE

One of my key challenges was distinguishing Vizia from established music services. By refocusing my primary objective of highlighting the synergy between audio and visual arts, I was able to reimagine the design of a web-based app.
